    Earlier this week the CAPSIT forums came under attack by a malicious hacker who was able to send spam e-mails from within the forum to all members. This e-mail came as a "private message" from a user "GoodFriend" and said to click a link to check your computer for viruses.
    What you need to know:
    1. This message DID NOT come from an authorized forum user or CAPSIT team member
    2. You should NOT click on any links
    3. You SHOULD immediately delete any messages from this user
    What we're doing to resolve this issue:
    1. We have upgraded our forum software, including all available security updates
    2. We have restricted new, unverified users from sending private messages
    3. We have reset everyone's password, which will require you to change your password next time you sign in. This is easy to do, see this post for detailed instructions.
